I don't use this on EVERY dog, but I use it often enough that I wouldn't want to be without it! I found it particularly useful yesterday while shaving off a matted lhasa who had a nice collection of fleas! A word of warning though - you must use a longer blade than what you think. I have a powerful numatic vaccuum system so I tend to go 2 blades higher. For example, to leave a 7F length, I use a 4F. Another word of warning - trial and error must be used in order to get the hang of it. I found on loose skinned dogs (like a cocker) this left really horrible clipper marks. But things like poodles or shave off lhasas in particular it worked really well.
